What makes this program different?
This one-on-one training is outstanding for several reasons. Firstly, it enables therapists and educators to retain and even attract clients who seek assistance addressing the challenges with executive function deficits. Secondly, this course encapsulates almost two decades of training and experience working with students with EFs deficits and testing what is effective and what is not. Many online tools and strategies one can find on social media and other websites do not effectively support students in today's learning environment. By utilizing those tools, the likelihood is that your sessions may not effectively assist your students in becoming independent learners.
This course was created and led by Benjamin Mizrahi, an award-winning special educator with over twenty years of experience supporting students with executive function deficits. Furthermore, it is tailored for therapists and educators with established practices, ensuring that each one-on-one masterclass is dedicated to enhancing students' executive function skills.
What is the program about?
We will focus on training students in executive functions in each masterclass, covering academic and emotional topics. Below is a concise list of the topics covered in each masterclass, corresponding with the online modules on the portal:
Module #1: How to structure the meeting, help students identify how they learn, map their executive skills, understand why they procrastinate, and how to manage their weaknesses while leveraging their strengths.
Module #2: Understand why students avoid using the planner, what the alternative is, how to deal with getting overwhelmed, manage time effectively, and keep school work under control while becoming independent and earning good grades.
Module #3: Study Smart, Not Hard – What can we do about forgetting what we learn and how to eliminate boredom even for tough subjects?
Module #4: How to ace tests without the stress while increasing achievement.
Module #5: Identify emotions related to everyday school interactions and manage them constructively to enhance personal development and friendships.
